$5,000 From Scratch Review

Ewen Chia is an online entrepeneur that has been around for some time now... Although most people like to refer to him as more of a con artist than anything.

However, when I started going through this program to do this $5000 From Scratch review, I found it to actually provide a decent bit of info. It involves using a strategy of making groups on Facebook for highly-targeted and ready-to-buy costumers.

The only problem... is that the information shouldn't be sold for $17. Yes, yes, it is fairly decent knowledge that I myself will probably end up applying myself, but it could have simply been used as a blog post. Seriously.

The other problem is that his strategy doesn't allow you to really create a brand or audience. Instead, you'll just be targeting a very, very small group of people that are simply looking to buy. Because of this, you can't do things like, oh I don't know, build a website around it!

Pros and Cons

  • Provides a strategy not often talked about
  • All information is walked-through using videos
  • Some "bonus" videos
  • Refund system in place
  • Support system (Although, I personally wouldn't expect much)

  • Holy f$ck, there's gotta be at least 12 different upsells!
  • Can barely navigate away from pages
  • Has a huge scam feel to it (Well... it kind of is a scam lol)
  • The program itself should be free

-The Good-

Well, starting off with some of the good stuff, this short program fulfills what it promises. It shows a different method to make money utilizing Facebook. The information is presented in video format which I found to be great, so I could just skip ahead to glean all the information easily with visuals.

The program boasts "bonus" videos you can download and save. Nothing too special, but they might add another tool or two you could use.

And finally, there is a 60-day refund system in place to get your money back. Support is also provided, however I seriously doubt that it will actually be of any great benefit. Probably just there to deal with refunds and such.

-The Bad-

I can't even begin to describe my frustration with the amount of advertising... This image is of the first upsell. It will give you 5 "starter" templates for use in creating and maintaining different Facebook groups.

Next up we have.. oh, guess what, another upsell! This one is for coaching from Ewen Chia directly. Shouldn't your information be good enough that I don't need coaching?

And once you move on to the page that actually has the information you see the first training... oh wait, no, that's another upsell.

And if you try to leave ANY of his pages you get a message that tries to keep you on the page.

And even after the training page is a huge list of different offers and upsells. Why the hell are there so many offers? Oh, that's right, this is a guy that loves to make money off people... (I had to shrink it way down and cut some of it off due to the sheer number of offers lol)

As I'm sure you can see, it's got a major scam feel to it. And that's because, honestly, it really is mostly a scam! Sure, it teaches something in the videos, but it's so small that it should be totally free.

Tools & Training

All of the training within the $5,000 From Scratch is put into 6 different videos totaling about 2 and a half hours of video content, although much of it is common-sense stuff like creating the Facebook group.

1) Finding a Niche

This video simply talks about what a niche is, how to find them using forums, and how to find products using Amazon. There are videos of this on YouTube lol.

2) Finding a high ticket product

Just talks about how to use Google's keyword searching tool combined with finding high-paying affiliate programs to choose a product that pays out really high commissions.

3) Creating your Facebook group

Talks about setting up the group page, how to get a cover made, how to get articles written for you... basic, basic, video that YouTube should have plenty of already.

4) Promoting your group

How to advertise your group through Facebook ads, in other Facebook groups or pages, and other places.

5) Adding value to your group

How to set up a schedule for adding content to your group through articles written by yourself or others.

6) Advanced monetization methods

As the title says, shows how you could make products and use other methods to make extra money with the group.

Again, there are a few bonus videos you can also download within the program, but otherwise that's about it. Stuff you could figure out pretty easily just searching for it on Google or YouTube.

I said before that the price of Ewen Chia's program is $17, however if you try to navigate away and decide to stay on the page, you can actually get the program for a measly $7.

Final Thoughts

$5,000 From Scratch is... well, there's barely anything to it, but it does show you a couple neat things that you could use with other, better programs. So, all in all, it's definitely not a program I suggest if you're trying to make a long-term income online.

Oh, and if you do decide to get the program, make sure to stay away from any of his other offers. He'll burn through you bank account faster than you can say, "What happened!"
